Middle School Teams Keep Rolling
Monday, September 22nd, 2008Big Crowd Sees Bees Top Olmsted Falls
BRECKSVILLE – In front of over 200 fans and the Pep Band this past Wednesday the Brecksville-Broadview Heights eighth grade volleyball team bounced rival Olmsted Falls 25-17 and 25-15 for a huge Southwestern Conference win.
It was “Volley For The Cure” night at BBHMS. The large crowd was treated to excellent volleyball by the eight graders. The “Volley For The Cure” campaign was founded to raise money to defeat breast cancer while bringing awareness to the support of women in sport.
Late last week the eighth grade squad, under coach Cheryl Palidar, defeated North Olmsted 25-20, 12-25 and 25-17.
The young Bees dropped a heartbreaker to Avon Lake on Thursday by the final scores of 25-14, 22-25 and 26-28 in a wild conference clash.
